The Report showcases progress that Aramark has made on the critical global issue of reducing food waste, including:  - 100% of the company’s food locations tracking food waste, and - 500 of its largest accounts using cutting edge waste tracking technology from LeanPath Aramark is using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s food recovery hierarchy to guide its efforts, which calls for source reduction (prevention) of food waste as the optimal solution. LeanPath co-founder and CEO, Andrew Shakman, states in the report: > *“We all love food, and wasting it is an absolute tragedy. We’re excited to partner with Aramark on smart food waste tracking so we can reduce more, save more, and help reach their goal of a 50% food waste reduction.”* Aramark has already reduced food waste by 44% across 161 sites, avoiding sending 479 tons of food waste to landfill since 2016.
